Uh-Oh

::Attention::
This post is mostly for familyt members that we haven't had a chance to call and fill you in.

Riker and I were having a blast at one of the first FSU baseball games of the season, Mitchell was suppose to meet us there after work. But I got a call during the 6th inning, it was Mitchell telling me he hurt his back and he couldn't even walk. When I got there to pick him up he looked horrible :( It's gotten better since Saturday and he has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Hus doctor told him he might be a candidate for back surgery. Scary. I guess we've opened a whole new can of worms.

It Wasn't Meant To Be...

My new dryer is broken. I know. I'm so mad. Like extremely mad. I guess I'm just not meant to have a dryer. I'm meant to hang our clothes up in Riker's bathroom and plug in the ghetto space heaterto dry them. And that after I take a shower I'm meant to dry myself off with a hard towel. For 2 weeks I had to luxury of drying off with a soft, fluffy towel. Hopefully one day I will be blessed with a working dryer.

Fair. Not so much...

This is Mitchell's nightly dessert....

And this is mine. Fair? I think not. Especially because he has lost 10 pounds (or so he says).

Sickly.

As I was zumbaing my life away yesterday at the gym, a girl came in a got me. She told me Riker was sick. On the way to the gym he was acting really tired but I figured it was because I had woken him up from his nap. When I walked in to get him he was wrapped in a blanket on the floor of the KidCare area, when I picked him up I realized he had throw up all over him. It was horrible. He looked so miserable and sad. Once we got out to the car I immediately stripped him down to his diaper and hurried home. I gave him a bath, and let him lay in our bed and watch Bambi. After about 30 minutes, he asked for a snack so I gave him some crackers. But by the time Mitchell got home he was acting completely normal. He had a slight temperature but nothing we thought we needed to be worried about. So we went ahead and went out on our monthly "go out to dinner" night. He ate well and was playing with his cars the whole time. We got home and put him to bed, thinking it was caused by something he ate earlier that day. Little did we know that 4 hours later, midnight to be exact. It would happen all over again. So I repeated the same cycle, but this time with Mitchell's help, which was definitely needed considering it was all over his bed. My poor little man was miserable. We let him sleep in our room, and I was anticipating another round of it around 6ish. But he slept through the rest of the night! He's acting fine today, he has a tiny temperature but the doctor said to give him Tylenol and keep him hydrated. He still been getting special treatment though. Right now he's sitting in my bed with crackers and yogurt watching Bambi yet again.

We played in a "tent" this morning on my bed and watched Bambi. He's so handsome!

Riker's pho-tog skillz. Pretty impressive.

Another of Riker's mad skillz.

Boooooo

Riker got his first boo-boo the other day. So sad. He just kept saying boooooo and pointing to it. But he did get Go, Deigo, Go! band aids with monkeys on them, so that made it a little better.

Not so happy.

This picture is preboo-boo. It's another one of his new shirts. Mitchell absolutely hates it. Because it's pink of course, but me and everyone else that has seen him in it loves it, so Mitchell will have to deal :)

It's Valentine's Day!

This Valentine's Day Mitchell and I didn't go out, but we counted going to the PBR last week as our Valentine's Day date. We actually watched some of our friends kids so they could go out. We had lots of fun playing their Wii. Mitchell is all about get one for us now, we'll have to see if it really happens. Plus, our 3 year anniversary is in a couple weeks so we figured we'll just wait until then to celebrate. Here's how our Valentine's Day went down.

We got Riker a Valentine Spud.

He also got heart pancakes for breakfast.

I made Mitchell a huge heart cookie, I was trying to pull a Marlene, but I don't know if it worked so well.

I got Mitchell chocolates, the fortune cookies I made, and I made him a card too.

Mitchell got me tulips, and some good smelling thingys. (I have no idea what they're called)

And this was Riker's Valentine's Day outfit. It was hard to get a picture of him standing still so you could see what it says, this is the best I got. The shirt says Rock my Valentine.

Homemade

A friend of mine invited me over to make homemade fortune cookies for our husbands for Valentine's Day. I thought it was a cute idea and was excited to try them out. Here's my finished product.

I don't know how good they taste, but it's the thought that counts right?

We made these cute little Chinese box thingys to put them in. I'm impressed with myself :)

New Clothes!

I love to dress Riker up for holidays, well Valentine's Day totally slipped my mind until a few days ago. We went to the mall with a friend of mine and she bought him a ton of clothes, including a Valentine's Day shirt. I was amazed at how many little girls outfits here were for Valentine's but I could only find one store in the whole mall with boy shirts for V-Day. Here's one of the outfits, I'll put pictures up of the rest of them when he wears them.

Cute, huh?

Valentine's Day Party

At playgroup this week we had a Valentine's Day party! Riker got to dip pretzels in chocolate, frost a cookie, and got his first valentine. He had tons of fun, I love watching him grow up.

Dippin' em.

The finished product.

Beautiful frosted cookie.

Yum!

2 Times!

I was tagged to do this challenge by too different people. Kathy--I was going to do it anyway, but Natalie's tag gave me a big shove to get it done.

I know this isn't from forever ago, but I don't very many pictures on our computer since we have had it less than a year. This was taken September 19, 2008 at JcPenney in the picture taking place. I went with Kim to help out with Taylor while Elle got her pictures taken. Riker and Taylor had tons of fun playing with all the props and looking out the window at all the people passing by.

So to do this you have to-

1-Go to your picture folder

2-Choose the 6th folder of pictures in that folder.

3-Then choose the 6th picture in that folder, and post it.

4-Then tag 6 people to do it too!

I tag--Candace, Keri, Freya, Lenette, Kim, and Linda! Get to it people!

The Many Poses...

As some of you know Riker is obsessed with the movie Cars. I had never realized it but he moves around so much during a 2 hour period of time. I decided to capture some of the many different ways Riker watches his favorite movie.

Chillin on his bike.

Hand in the pocket stance.

Just relaxin.

Who doesn't love presents?

Riker wasn't too sure about the present Daddy brought home for him today.

He stood close enough to see it, but far enough away to not have to touch it.

On the other hand, I loved my present from Mitchell. Happy Early Valentine's Day! If I got flowers today--I wonder what I'm getting for the real deal?

Beautiful

This is what a beautiful day looks like to me--

I haven't had a dryer for a little over a year, and I have had to do a load of laundry everyday of the week. I would hang the clothes up in Riker's bathroom with a space heater to dry them. Today I was able to do all of our laundry in one day! Resulting in these empty laundry baskets. a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

New Favorite

I promise this will be my last post for today! At least I'm catching up right?

I have a new favorite song--you know you're jealous.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3361fk8nc4

This is it--It's not a video just a bunch of pictures from One Tree Hill--only the best show ever.

Check it out!

Easter on the Mind

As I explained around Christmas time--I love buying Riker Christmas and Easter outfits for church, because I never got a special outfit for those holidays and most kids did. I walked into The Children's Place today, just to look at $2 sunglasses for Riker. But look what I found--

I love me some argyle. I am absolutely in love with this outfit. Aren't ya'll excited to see him stylin' it on Easter?

And while I was on the website--I just had to choose what I would get for Mileena if she was here--

She needs to live with us! I can't take not buying any cute girl stuff!! Wouldn't this be an adorable picture? I love my extremely cute kids--they can pull anything off!

Advice, Please!

I need some advice from my fellow mothering friends. Is it bad to let your kid watch Disney movie after Disney movie, so you don't have hear "Mom, Mom, Mom!" all day long. I mean we take breaks and play and go on walks. This seems like the only way I can get things done without tripping over my little man constantly.

And who can resist a cutie like this one as he says "Mom, Doggy (aka 101 Dalmations), or Sek (aka Shrek), or Ka (aka Cars)"?

Don't be shy, I need some advice!

Superbowl Sunday

I have never sat down and watched a whole Superbowl. And I'm never planning on it because I don't understand football and I don't think I ever will. But this year Mitchell made some amazing food and we all sat down and watched it (I watched like the first half of the first quarter ha). It was our own little Superbowl Party! I loved it. I know most people in our church don't watch the Superbowl because it's on Sunday, but to me it's a fun family tradition to have. Plus, I get chicken wings..yum. I documented this fun-filled event as follows--

What was Daddy thinking putting this food out, and telling him he couldn't have any yet?
Like Mother, Like Son. I love me some Diet Sunkist.
The delicious meal. But seriously those chicken wings were basically fire. No joke. I thought my lips and tongue were going to fall off.
Riker Superbowl dinner. Who turns down a corndog? Please.

We actually let Riker have soda..I know..I gave in. And he sure as heck downed this in like 3 minutes.

It was a super fun Superbowl night. Next year we need to invite some other people so it's a "real party"--in the words of my sister "Its not a party if the only people there are people that live there"--way to bring me down Hannah, way to bring me down.
