Northward Bound
We leave for Vermont tomorrow (well technically Monday but we're staying at a friend's house in Jacksonville Sunday night so we don't hake up at the crack of dawn). Wish us luck! I'm excited about the alone time with Mitchell it is very much needed! I'm not so much looking forward to court, but I'm hoping we will be able to help get Nyah out of the same situation Mileena was in. I'll update when I get home in a week. Bye Blog World!

I Love My Valentines!
I have always loved Valentine's Day, I don't know why most people hate it. But even as a kid I loved picking out Valentine's for my class. And the only thing I didn't like about it in high school was all the girls carrying around huge stuffed animals and big vases of flowers from their boyfriend (kind of puts a damper on the holiday if you don't have a man). But regardless I still always loved it. My parents gave us Valentines too on Valentine's Day so we do the same with our kids. I feel like it's not just about celebrating the love of your significant other but about celebrating your love for everyone in your life.

I could tell Mileena was really excited about getting something from us. She said she had never gotten anything for Valentine's Day before!
After we got home from church Mileena came up to me and said, "I love you, Mom." Made my heart melt! Then she told me she had decided that she wants to call me Mom from now on. I love it, she is so cute and I can tell now that she feels like she can let most of the stuff in her past go because she has a Mom here. That was the best part of the day for me :)
And for dinner we had breakfast (I looooove breakfast for dinner). Complete with pink chocolate chip heart pancakes, bacon, sausage, bagels with pink cream cheese and red Kool-Aid. Riker loved the pancakes and kept wanting more but could careless about the color or shape. But Mileena loved all of it, she helped dye the pancakes and cream cheese, she was really into it.
After Riker was in bed Mitchell told me to go upstairs and wait. When I was allowed downstairs I found....

I could tell he was trying so hard ot be romantic and I loved it! He had "Amazed" by Lonestar playing the background. He is so cute! I love that he worked so hard to make something special for me.
I gave him his present when right before bed (basically because I had forgotten about it). It was a Survival Kit for Vermont (cause we're going to need it). He really liked it and I got to use my mad 'creativity' for it which was fun.

So it was a great Valentine's Day this year and hopefully all the rest will be too!

Getting Closer...
Caution:
Post full of Complaints
This pregnancy is definitely different than the one with Riker. With Riker I worked all the time, with hours varying from 1 in the morning until 10 or 11 in the afternoon with only an hour break. If I had to do that this time I would feel like I was dying, considering I already feel like that when the day is over. This baby likes to shove his feet in my ribs and make places I didn't even know I had hurt. Don't get me wrong I'm super excited to have another baby and I know it will all be worth it when I get to hold him, but as of now it just plain hurts! I only remember Riker putting his feet in my ribs once and it was like 2 days before I had him. All I remember is that he hiccuped a ton. And the heartburn this time is baaaaaad, I had it with Riker too but 2 Tums before I went to sleep usually took care of me for the night. With this one I wake up 1 or 2 times during the night and have to pop some Tums, and I've almost thrown up quite often because the heartburn was so intense.Post full of Complaints
I'm assuming that Heavenly Father knew I could handle more this time because last time I don't know what I would've done if it had been like this! I worked at JCPenney's in the Jewelry Department during the Christmas and Valentine's Day season (explains the working from 1 am to 10am). And I made pretty decent money with commission, so I know I was suppose to work. I guess raising an 11 year old and an almost 3 year old is enough work as it is!
Anyway, sorry about my complaining post. I figure my kids will want to know how my pregnancies were one day, and since I'm not very dedicated to journaling I'm planning on making this blog into a scrapbook.

My Hero
Riker goes through favorites like crazy! Christmastime it was trains, before that it was Cars. But now it is the Marvel Superheros. Spiderman is his favorite one these days. He even bought a Marvel calendar with his own money (his first legit purchase). I love watching him change and grow! It's amazing how much his little mind can hold and what he puts together. He is basically awesome!
We went to a Baby Fair and Riker got his face painted. He would never let anyone paint his face before this. So it was crazy to me that he let the guy paint his whole face! After he was Spiderman (he really thought he was) he told everyone we saw "I Spiderman!" and he would shoot 'his webs' around everywhere.
This is non-other than a Spiderman popsicle. Yes, an actual Spiderman popsicle. It even says 'Spiderman' on the wrapper. We found the Superhero posicles (now known as 'Riker's popsicles in our household) last time we went grocery shopping. The box includes Spiderman, The Hulk, and Ironman. And boy does Riker love 'em.
