Car Quest Part 4

I know, I know too many parts of this blog for anyone's good, even mine. The owner of the Ford Taurus that we were suppose to look at tonight is actually in California and he won't be back until Friday. So obviously that postpones it until at least then. But he said it is waiting to be sold to us when he gets back, which is good to know. Now if only I didn't have $1,300 cash burning a hole in my pocket until then! We found out today that our friends need to sell their truck soon too, so Mitchell is thinking about buying that for work, then selling our car. We'll just have to see how it all works out.

Car Quest Part 3

There is a guy in the bishopric of our ward who's dad is selling his 1993 Ford Taurus. So we're going to look at it tomorrow night after Mitchell gets off work. We have a friend who owns a shop too so we're going to take it there and get looked at. But I'm super excited!! Hopefully it all works out I'll keep you posted.

Halloween Costume

We got Riker's Halloween costume in the mail today! I'm so excited! I ordered it from Old Navy and got a really good deal on it. He is going to be a pirate this year, but when I tried it on him he wasn't liking it much. He was ok with the pants but once I put the shirt on it was over. He started making his sad face and whimpering, so I took it off. I guess we're just going to keep on trying it on him until Halloween so he gets use to it. After I took it off him I let him carry it around for a little bit, just so it wasn't an enemy but a "toy". He really wanted to wear the hat, so I put it on him and he's been wearing it since 11:30 this morning! He looks so cute in it, and at least he likes 1/4 of his costume.

Car Quest Part 2

Mitchell went and looked at a car yesterday, it was a Jeep Grand Cherokee, but the guy wanted $3,000 for it and we don't have that much right now. Mitchell said it was a nice car though. We are going to A Angels today to see what they have to offer, I'm praying we'll find something!! So stressful.

Freya is 21!

Yesterday was my friend Freya's 21st birthday! Riker and I went to her house to celebrate with some friends. Two of my friends, Candace and Renee made these HUGE Freya heads haha (If you're confused look at the pictures and you'll understand). Riker loved being around all the people, he had tons of fun! Riker Loves Dr. Phil!

I usually watch Dr. Phil everyday, and when the opening theme song comes on, Dr. Phil walks out, and the audience starts clapping, Riker gets so excited! He starts laughing and clapping. So I decided to film him this time. When Dr. Phil walks out he raises his hand saying hi to the audience, this time riker raised his hand before Dr. Phil even did it. It was so funny!! Conversations when Mitchell is tired

When it gets to be past 10:30 at night Mitchell usually starts to get really tired. Sometimes when I'm trying to talk to him he starts to fall asleep. It's really frustrating most of the time, because he pretends like he was awake the whole time and tries to tell me what I was saying. He gets it wrong every time of course. But sometimes he says really funny things and tonight was one of those times. We were talking about Paul's (my brother-in-law) son, and I was saying how his full name was Korbin Lance Jaggar. Then Mitchell says "Did you just say Cornbread Lance Jaggar?" I started laughing and he had no idea why, so I try to explain to him what we were talking about, because he always asks. This is how the rest of the conversation went. K-We were talking about Paul's son. M-Paul's son?! K-Yes, Paul's son. M-But I'm not his son I'm his brother! It was so funny! But he still thinks I'm the "crazy one", he says that I mix up my sentences and talk too fast. But I know I can always get a good laugh when Mitchell is good and tired.

Car Quest Part 1

When we got married my parents gave us my old car. It's a Subaru Impreza and it's been good to us for the most part, but the time has come to get another car. We got our tax return back, so we decided now would be a good time to go look for one. So we went to Kia the other day because Mitchell and I both have no credit and they are known for "No credit, No problem!" Well we went and of course they didn't approve us. So our next attempt will be this week sometime. We are going to call someone that is trying to sell a car in the classifieds, and there is a guy in our ward who's dad is selling his car. So we're going to take a look at those and see what we can do. Then if that doesn't work out were going to go to this other dealership that is like Kia's sister dealer. They're called A Angels, and they supposedly finance loans right there instead of through a bank. I'm hoping we'll be able to find one outside of a dealership cheap enough so we can just pay the money put front and be done with it. So wish us luck on our car adventure! I'll keep you updated.

Eventful Afternoon

This afternoon me and Riker went to the mall with Kim, Taylor, and Elle. Kim was getting Elle's pictures taken for the first time, so I went to help keep an eye on Taylor. Riker was so excited this morning when I told him we were going to see Taylor. I think he is Riker's favorite friend. It was definitely a very eventful afternoon, more than I'm use to, that's for sure! But it was tons of fun, I love going to getting kids pictures taken even if they're not mine haha. I know, weird. But they got some really cute ones of Elle. During the pictures Riker and Taylor were having a blast playing! Riker doesn't get to play with kids much since we only have one car as of now and Mitchell takes it to work. So it was nice to see him having fun with another kid. Taylor would chase Riker around the stroller and Riker would scream and laugh so hard! It was really cute. It was also a good experience for me because I've been a little baby hungry and I think it's cured for a little while at least. 3 kids with 2 adults was hard, I don't even know how I would go out with 2 kids and just me. Card Making

So I went to Enrichment last night and it was learning how to make cards. I've always wanted to learn some fun but easy ideas because Mitchell has such a big family I would love it if we could send a card to every brother and sister or niece or nephew on their birthday. But there are too many to buy cards for each birthday. So now I have some neat ideas for cards and I'm going to try to make and send one to everyone in our family on their birthday! Try is the keyword here. They also gave us a list of websites to get ideas from I'm loving it! Here are the cards that I made last night. One is for Christmas, the next is for a birthday, and the last one is for a wedding or something.

She even gave us the cool idea to use wrapping paper instead of scrapbooking paper. So if you're sending a gift the card will match it! And she also taught us how to do it with tissue paper! So much fun, I think this is my new obsession!

Lenette- I think I have all your family's birthday except for the new babies, Logan and Korbin. Do you by any chance have those?

I'm not sleepy, but Riker was

I should be asleep right now especially because I have to be up at 6 am, but for some reason I can't sleep. Sometimes I wish I could be a kid again and get all the perks of being one, like falling asleep whenever or wherever and then someone just carries you to your room. Over the last couple of weeks Riker has been falling asleep in some really weird places. Here are the 2 we were able to capture on video.

In this one, I was on the computer and Riker was standing next to me. I figured he was just watching me upload some pictures because he loves looking at pictures so much. Then i start to feel some sort of jerking, I look over and Riker has fallen asleep, standing up! I was trying so hard not to laugh, but it was so funny. Then he was getting upset because he couldn't get comfortable. I felt bad, so I stopped filming and put him to bed.

This night Riker was being extra picky about his food. So, we made him sit in his chair until he finished eating. Usually when we do this, not very often, he cries and cries. About 1o minutes after we had cleaned up dinner and sat down to relax, we realized he wasn't crying anymore. When we looked over this is how he was, and boy was he out cold!

So do you guys remember that birthday card you sent me? with the sticker in it? Well I wanted you guys to know that I did wear the sticker for that whole night too!





For others: For my birthday my FAVORITE nieces sent me a birthday card with a sticker that said Awesome Aunt! Lenette told me I had to show proof that I wore the it, but we haven't had the Internet until recently so I couldn't send her a picture. So here's the proof Lenette!!

All Greased Up!

It seems we are always having car problems, one after another. But this time it was the CV axle, so Saturday Mitchell spent his day off trying to replace it so we wouldn't have to take it in and pay and extra $100. Well I decided Riker and I would go visit Mitchell and keep him company while he worked on the car. We ended up being out there for 3 hours or so. But Riker had a blast! i ended up taking everything off of him but his diaper, so his clothes wouldn't get ruined from all the grease. This were the results after a day of working on the car with Daddy.

So that was a fun adventure. But if any of you were wondering how the car adventure went the CV axle ended up not being the right one for our car so we were without our car for 2 days. Our friends were nice enough to let us borrow theirs! Our car is fixed now thank goodness, but were going to look for cars this Thursday so hopefully were approved and can get a new one soon!

Hey!

So this is my first time doing one of these hopefully I'll get better with time. I basically just looked at my sister-in-law's and copied hers. Don't hate me Lenette! So the most eventful thing we did this summer was probably going to DisneyWorld. We went for a day and it was tons of fun. Mileena was with us for the summer so she got to come too. She had a blast! Her favorite ride was Splash Mountain. Mine was The Haunted House, Riker didn't like this one much though.
