Update

Mileena
has been enjoying her summer (when she's not grounded) that's a whole other story. She's
been sleeping over at friends houses and swimming a ton! She has started to enjoy reading
which she use to hate. She is reading the Chronicles of Narnia right now, and then she will start on her summer reading book!
She got stuck in her laundry basket, don't ask me how!

And she taped herself up while she was bored?

Riker
's routine hasn't changed much except Sissy is home during the day now, so he has someone else to play with! We have a weekly schedule and most mornings we have somewhere fun to go. Which is wonderful for me, cause then we come home eat lunch and it's nap time for him! He's had a recent obsession with animals, he plays with them ALL the time!

I know it's sideways (my bad), but this is how I found his dinosaurs the other day. The little ones on the big ones heads! So silly!

Eating a cookie pop?

Austin
is growing so fast! I can't believe he's 3 months already (and yes I didn't get his pictures taken so I will post those when I get them back)! I have no idea who he looks like, and everyone seems to have different opinions, so who knows? I'm trying to get him on a "schedule" right now, but it's not a real schedule, if that makes any sense. I'm trying to put him in his bed before he is asleep and let him fall asleep in there. Today is the first day and it's not going to well. But I will stay strong!!

I love this picture of my baby!

He loves to blow spit bubbles.

Mitchell & Me
is in school full-time and is working full-time, so his days are crazy! He has school Monday thru Friday in the morning. And Tuesdays and Thursdays at night. I'm getting the feel of being more independent with the kids and I'm also cooking dinner 2 times a week! I know amazing! It's going to be a lone 4 to 6 years, but we'll make it!

Fishin'

Not much has been going on our life lately, but my SIL told me I needed to post something. So here you go Lenette!
We went fishing! Every since Mitchell got his fishing pole for his birthday back in April he hasn't caught anything except for a tiny fish and a turtle. My BFF's boyfriend lives in Madison and his parents have a ton of land with like 600 cows, some horses, chickens and dogs. They also have 2 ponds. So we went out there to fish (hoping Mitchell would finally catch something decent).

Riker in his "fishing-cowboy hat" as he calls it.

Riker tried to fish out of the bucket where we kept all the fish we had already caught.

He helped reel in a ton of fish! He liked to see them dance aka flop around on the dock.

Then he took a dip in the pond.

Austin wasn't too into the hot weather, so we had to cut out earlier than Mitchell would've liked. And he still didn't catch anything! While Drew (Keri's bf) caught 8 or 9! Mitchell got a bite or two but nothing to show for it :(

Right before we left Keri and Drew joined Riker in the water for a little bit.

Birthday Surprise

Mitchell had a nice surprise on Riker's birthday...

STITCHES!

Mitchell called me and told me he had to go to the hospital because he cut his hand. It wasn't too bad of a cut and we even made it home to celebrate Riker's birthday!

Number 4

Last Thursday was mine and Mitchell 4th Anniversary! We celebrated last weekend by going to a movie and to the Melting Pot (our annual tradition).

As you can see I'm 'mildly' swollen in the face these days, not a pretty picture but I can't stop taking pictures because of a swollen face!

We saw "The Lovely Bones" and we both actually liked it. I was sure I would because I had read the book in high school, but I wasn't sure if Mitchell would be to into it. Since it's been ages since I've read it I don't quite remember what happened at the end. I think the movie was different so it's probably better that I forgot what happens in the book or I might have been disappointed.

Afterward we headed over to The Melting Pot, I looove this restaurant. We go there once a year on our anniversary. Sometimes we get the big shabang and sometimes we get the littler portion (which is a lot cheaper). For those of you that don't know, The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant. The big shabang (As I like to call it) consists of an appetizer which is your choice of a cheese dip with bread, tortilla chips, apples, and some veggies to dip in the cheese. Then you get a salad. Then is the main course which is the meat, you can choose from several different combinations, that you cook yourself. And last is the dessert which is some type of chocolate with strawberries, cheesecake, brownies, rice krispie treats, chocolate and graham cracker covered marshmellows (my fave), bananas, and pound cake to dip. So amazing to say the least. Anyway, this time we just got the cheese and dessert which equals about the same as going to a regular restaurant. I loved it and since I'm determined to not eat sweets after I have Austin, the dessert was the best!

Happy 4 years, Baby! I love you!!!

I Love My Valentines!

I have always loved Valentine's Day, I don't know why most people hate it. But even as a kid I loved picking out Valentine's for my class. And the only thing I didn't like about it in high school was all the girls carrying around huge stuffed animals and big vases of flowers from their boyfriend (kind of puts a damper on the holiday if you don't have a man). But regardless I still always loved it. My parents gave us Valentines too on Valentine's Day so we do the same with our kids. I feel like it's not just about celebrating the love of your significant other but about celebrating your love for everyone in your life.

I could tell Mileena was really excited about getting something from us. She said she had never gotten anything for Valentine's Day before!

After we got home from church Mileena came up to me and said, "I love you, Mom." Made my heart melt! Then she told me she had decided that she wants to call me Mom from now on. I love it, she is so cute and I can tell now that she feels like she can let most of the stuff in her past go because she has a Mom here. That was the best part of the day for me :)

And for dinner we had breakfast (I looooove breakfast for dinner). Complete with pink chocolate chip heart pancakes, bacon, sausage, bagels with pink cream cheese and red Kool-Aid. Riker loved the pancakes and kept wanting more but could careless about the color or shape. But Mileena loved all of it, she helped dye the pancakes and cream cheese, she was really into it.

(Sorry the picture is facing the wrong way, but you get the point)

After Riker was in bed Mitchell told me to go upstairs and wait. When I was allowed downstairs I found....

I could tell he was trying so hard ot be romantic and I loved it! He had "Amazed" by Lonestar playing the background. He is so cute! I love that he worked so hard to make something special for me.

I gave him his present when right before bed (basically because I had forgotten about it). It was a Survival Kit for Vermont (cause we're going to need it). He really liked it and I got to use my mad 'creativity' for it which was fun.

So it was a great Valentine's Day this year and hopefully all the rest will be too!

Life through Disposable Eyes: Finale!

I finally got my last roll of film developed! Woop! This is the end of December in the Jaggar household.

Christmas Eve--

Christmas PJs!

Cookies for Santa!

Then the milk, of course.

Christmas Day--

Riker got a 'choo-choo' from Santa!

Mileena opening her sewing machine! (She got an iPod shuffle from Santa but I forgot to take a picture of her with it.)

Mitchell got a ton of new PSP games and movies. And I got an amazing gift....a body pillow! Which I love and adore, the picture of me opening it didn't turn out though :(

After a day of lounging in our PJs, we headed over to some friends house for dinner and more presents!

Me--7 months prego!

Happy 2010 Everyone!!!

Life Through Disposable Eyes: Part 2

This is the middleish part of our month of December!

First came....Mileena's Baptism! We are all so proud of her for getting baptized. She is basically amazing!

Don't worry about me in this picture, I was just an emotional wreck (I blame it on being prego). And thank you Lenette for the dress! She loves it!!

Then it was the Festival of Lights. Around Christmas time Tallahassee has a big ol' party downtown. Complete with a Jungle Bell Run, lots of fattening and pricey food, and creepy Christmas characters. The creepiest thing about these characters is that in the pictures you can see the real people's faces through the costume. Check out the top of this little mouses hat. Ekkk.

Next came, decorating the Christmas tree!

And last, we went to a gingerbread party! Mitchell and Riker made one house, and Mileena and I made the other. It was tons of fun! Especially for Riker (once Mitchell decided to give up on making theirs perfect.)

ps-I'm definitely not getting any looove back on ANY of my posts. :( This makes me rather sad. *hint hint*

What Feels Like a Year Later...

So I feel like I have been neglecting my blog, and my camera for that matter, recently. I don't think I've taken over 15 pictures since Mileena has gotten here. Whoops! Things have been crazy. We've had lots of visitors and lots of fun! Here's the catch up.
Mitchell--
He went back into the hospital once in July because he was getting stomach pains. Since he's gotten out he has been taking it easy with work and he hasn't had any other episodes since! Yay!
Mileena--
She has been having a BLAST with all of her friends and with Riker! You can tell she just loves being down here. She is actually on her way to a Demi Lovato concert right now (for those unfortunate souls who don't know who Demi Lovato is..she is Mitchie from Camp Rock, the Disney movie) with her friend. When she gets back we're having family pictures, she's dying her hair, going on a Mother-Daughter Date, a Father-Daughter Date, having a birthday party, and going out for a family birthday diner at Chuck-E-Cheese (her choice naturally). All before the 14th, whew! So there will be many posts and pictures to come!
Riker--
He's still my little man, but no so little anymore :( He's definitely growing up fast. He's talking a TON and is very bossy (I suppose that's normal for a 2 year old). He also has his big Sissy wrapped right around his little finger. He's going to be so sad when she leaves to go back to Vermont.

We also to another fishy! My friend is moving and couldn't transport the fish with her. So we took him/her off her hands. One morning after Riker woke up, we were feeding the fish. That's when Riker decided the new fish's name should be 'Lamby'. For those of you who don't know 'Lamby' is Riker's little lamb stuffed animal that he cannot sleep without. So now we have a cat named Kitty Kat and 2 fish, one named Mega and the other Lamby.

Here is Riker and Lamby Sr. before bed.

4th of July

We went to some friend's beach house. It was the first time Mileena had ever been to a real beach. She goes to Lake Champlain in Vermont and they call it a "beach" but definitely not the real thing! The beach we went to was a little bit calmer than some, there were hardly any waves and Riker could stand in almost all of it so he loves it too!

After the beach we went to Tom Brown Park for the fireworks, Riker wasn't too fond of those though.

Even Mileena, the northerner, loves boiled peanuts so HA!
