Yay!

Riker went pee-pee in the potty again last night! Woo Hoo! I'm so exicted, and I feel like it's because there is no pressure on him and we're definitely making it fun for him. Hopefully it will become a more steady issue.

Happy Turkey Day!

This was mine and Mitchell first time having Thanksgiving at our house, and we've been married for almost 3 years! Mitchell did most of the cooking, but he did an amazing job. He didn't mess up one thing! He would say well the turkey was dry, but he is full of it. All of it was great! Jeff's mom, Irene, came up from Ocala to visit so we even had some guests. Riker ate all of his roll and corn, but he didn't like the turkey, mashed potatos, and stuffing. Go figure my little boy won't eat turkey on Thanksgiving. Then we went on a walk after dinner, I think we're going to make that a tradition. It was a fun day, and I'm glad we did it the way we did.

There it is!

I Love My Hubby!

Mitchell is such a great Dad, I couldn't ask for a better example for my kids. I love him so much!

Mitchell is getting Riker ready for bed in this video. Most nights it's their time to play and have fun together.

What a Fun Day!

Yesterday me and Riker went out to lunch with my friend Keri and then we went to Lake Ella with her and her dog and my other friend Candace and her cousins. At Lake Ella we fed the ducks Riker loved it! We took our family picture at Lake Ella this summer and every time he sees the picture he says "Duck! Duck!" He is so smart. After Lake Ella we went to Tom Brown Park. Riker's favorite thing there is the see saw. There is this new electronic game that is suppose to be good exercise. It's still a little weird to me that there is something like that at a park. At first I thought it was a drink machine. Anyway, it was a very fun day, Riker enjoyed it a lot. I'm so happy I have my own car so I can do fun things like this with him!

Ice Cream

I know I recently put up a post about a messy Riker. Well I have some more pictures to share. We went to TCBY this week on my free day from my diet and Riker got another ice cream cone. I know he's got it good. The pictures I got were so funny I just had to share them!

He looks hateful in this one..but trust me he was loving it!

Hahahaha! This one is the best one!

Riker Loves His Doggy

For Riker's first birthday someone gave him this little toy dog. It has a string attached to it so you can pull it around. It makes a barking noise and moves it's head as you pull it. For the last week or so Riker has been taking an interest in it, more than he usually did at least. Yesterday we took the doggy for a walk, and today Riker was giving him a drink and kisses. It was so cute! I had never seen Riker doing this before.

Good-Bye Elder

It's so sad when you get to know a missionary really well and then they get transferred. Elder Wright was in our ward for 7 months and we really liked him. Him and whoever his companion was at the time would come over anytime they didn't have anywhere to eat. We had a few games nights with him too. But he is leaving for Mobile, Alabama today. So sad! He said his family is going to pick him up after his mission so he will come back and see us. He is a great missionary and we will miss him!

My Recent Thoughts

So obviously not much has been going on for the past week, because I usually update my blog every other day. I figured I'll fill you all in on a few things going on here in the Jaggar household.

--Mitchell's best friend from Vermont, Jeff, came down on Tuesday and is staying with us for a little while. He's been working with Mitchell and helping him out a lot.
--Riker is talking so much these days, his most recent words are plane, sticker, potty, Jeff, and Nyah.
--I've recently became obsessed with Audrina from The Hills. Her hair is so cute, so I've been intently watching her on the show for the past 2 weeks trying to figure out how she styles it and gets it cut. I pretty much figured it out so I got my hair cut this week and it looks pretty good. Audrina's hair is a darker brown than mine is so I was debating wither or not to dye it darker. So a few days ago I did it. But my hair turned out black, I really don't like it. Everyone else does, but I don't. I called a friend who owns a hair salon and she said it would be from $70 to $95 to fix it. So I'm just going to have to deal with it until it fades.
--My car works!! Woo Hoo! It's still acting a little sketchy so I don't go past 4th gear but I can at least use it around town. I hope it lasted for a while.
--I'm so sad that we can't go to my sister-in-law, Lenette's, for Thanksgiving. I was so excited. :(

Well, I'm going to head out because today is my free day and Mitchell made brownies for me! Oh how I love my wonderful hubby!

Messy, Messy, Messy

Over the last 2 days we have let Riker experience some of the sweet joys in life. An ice cream cone and a chocolate sucker. It was his first time for both and here is a look at our cute but very messy little boy.

Yesterday we went to TCBY and bought Riker his very own ice cream cone for the first time. He was definitely in heaven.

Today we went to the mall and found a See's Candy kiosk, this was a sample from them. He doesn't look very happy in the picture but he was definitely enjoying this chocolate sucker. He was also amusement for all the rest of the shoppers in the mall. Most of the laughed, and a few just looked at him in shock. Let's just hope I can get this out of his clothes!

It's Time for the Fair!

Every year around this time the North Florida Fair comes to Tallahassee. I have only been 2 times that I can remember. Once as a kid and once while Mitchell and I were dating. He won me a stuffed animal that time. This year I wanted to go because I knew Riker would love the animals. It was lots of fun, he got to feed baby goats, see sharks and sea lions, eat cotton candy for the first time, and watch a pig race. We didn't go on any rides because they were $4 each and Riker was too little for most of them.

Feeding the baby goats. This was Riker's favorite part!

Nice hair, dude.

In The Potty?

It happened...Riker went pee-pee in the potty! I was completely shocked, to say the least. He has been showing interest for a month or so now. But I wasn't going to push it on him, so we all went out for Family Home Evening one night and let him choose a "special potty". We let him play on it for a few days, then we started leaving it in the bathroom. Whenever I thought he was going to go I would ask him if he wanted to go on the potty. He usually just sat on it for a minute or so then got up, but no pee-pees. Then last night I was getting him ready to take a bath, and I asked him him if he needed to go pee-pee he said yes. Then while he was on his potty I sat on ours. When he got up he pointed in his potty, and sure enough there were pee-pees in there! It was amazing! I know it won't happen all the time but it's definitely a start and he only 20 months, so I'm, doing pretty good for not having to try hard!

Wakulla Springs

When I was a kid, my family and I use to go to Wakulla Springs all the time. It's a neat little place about 45 minutes from Tallahassee, and there's a swimming area, boat rides, and a lodge with a gift shop. Well, my dad wanted to go there while he was visiting and of course we picked the coldest day he was here to go. It was about 66 degrees outside and the water stays 68 degrees all year around, so technically the water was warmer than the air. There was no way I was going in that water, but Dad tried to get Riker to go in with him. Riker definitely wasn't having it. Dad just swam around for a little bit then we went on the boat ride, Riker loved it! We saw alligators, manatees, and lots of ducks and birds. The ducks were Riker favorite, he just kept saying "Duck! Duck!" over and over. My dad said he liked going on the boat ride and feeling like a tourist. It was a fun day with Grandpa!

He is crazy!

Grandpa is Here!

My dad came to visit this week. He got here on the first and left today. He got in really late on Saturday and we were going to have him sleep in Riker's room on the bed we have set up for Mileena. We were worried Riker would freak out when he saw a man sleeping in his room, but my dad said they both woke up at the same time. Then my dad said "I'm Grandpa", and they both turned over and went back to sleep for an hour or so. At least Riker didn't freak. He actually really liked my dad, he always wanted him to play with him and hold him. The whole time he was here I kept telling him to move back, I know it will never happen but it's a nice thought.

Since my dad doesn't live here anymore, he just HAD to pick up a TON of FSU stuff while he was here. This is him and Riker walking along in the mall on our way to shop.

There we are!

My dad has lots of friends here, so they had a little get together in his honor. There was amazing food, as usual at Mormon parties, and I know he loved seeing everyone.

When my dad would sit on the couch, Riker would always want to sit next to him. It's so cute how much Riker loves him.

Yum!

Mitchell is an amazing cook and I looove all of his food. The other night he made a parfait for dessert, and it was actually pretty healthy. He put granola at the bottom of a glass, and then vanilla yogurt, then strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries on top. It was so yummy!

Mitchell ate this one, it's way to big for me!

Trick-Or-Treat!

Last night was so much fun! Riker loved Trick-or-Treating, he went up to every house that had their lights on. And he got tons of candy. We went with a group of people from church and the Elders came along too for a little bit. I didn't get a picture of just Riker in his costume because I already had one from the Trunk or Treat. Most of the pictures are courtesy of Freya!
