Friends are the Best!

Mitchell was in the hospital (again) on my birthday :(

But my friends are the best! They took me to On The Border, my favorite restaurant, and then we went to The Pub. I know what you're thinking what is a good mother/wife/LDS girl going to a pub for. Well, I turned 21, that's why!! Even if I don't do what most people do when they turn 21 I can still celebrate right?

Home At Last

My man is finally home! He was in the hospital for 5 days and he's definitely happy to be out too. Now don't get me wrong I'm uper happy to have him home with us, but I'm not so welcoming of his new 'attachment'.

Yes, that is a drain, ekk. Coming out of my man's stomach, yuck. That he has to flush out twice a day, ew.
But I love him regardless of what he has hanging around his hip :)

Again....Really?

Mitchell got out of the hospital on Monday. Woot! He was recovering well, and even got to go to our friend, Matt's baptism. We thought it all was going to be back to normal soon...and then...

Dun..Dun..Dun..

Last night, Mitchell was was complaining about a bit of a temperature. 101.8 to be exact. I told him to call the Doc, they said to call if it was over 101. They told him he might have an abscessed, which is basically a pocket of infection/puss. Gross, I know.

So today he drives himself over to the Doc's office, he was feeling a lot better so we were hoping it was a falsey. Not so much, he called from the Doc's and told me he did have an abscessed and it may even be 2. Gooooooo.

End result: He's going into an outpatient surgery (I think that's what it is called) tomorrow, to drain it out. But if it is too hard to get to they will have to go 'the real deal surgery'. But even if it's the easier route he will still be in the hospital for at least 2 days so they can monitor him.

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Mitchell was suppose to be discharged today but the doctor wanted to keep him for at least one more day. Boo. So Riker and I went to visit him after dinner. Mitchell felt bad he couldn't get me anything and couldn't be home with me, so he made me a card.

We played cards (I won of course) and Riker chilled.

This is from a few days ago. Riker was so excited me finally got to closer to Mitchell! The first little bit he couldn't get on the bed but this day he could. What a Daddy's Boy!

Sleeping Cutie

Since Mitchell has been in the hospital, Riker has been waking up in between 4 and 5 and coming to sleep with me. I woke up the other day with this little cutie snoring away beside me. Oh how I love my little guy!

He has all his snuggies around him too, all four of them. At least I know I have a little snuggler on my hands!

Bye, Bye Appendix!

Mitchell got his appendix taken out yesterday afternoon! We definitely weren't expecting that one. The normal time for staying in the hospital after appendix surgery is a day, but he's going to be in there for a couple days longer. Hopefully that's it! I will try to keep my blog updated, but if you're really anixous to know my life (which I know you all are), go to my facebook. I update that more often. Keep Mitchell in your prayers!

Stolen Memories

I don't know how many of you have been to DisneyWorld, but they have these Photo Pass cards. How they work:
there are people that work at Disney all over the park taking pictures and they hand out these Photo Pass cards.
Pretty nifty, I know. But once I got home and logged onto their site and totally fell in love with some of the pictures I realized they were $13 for 2 4x6s! Doesn't seem fair, right? Especially since you spend a whole months budget on food in one week at Disney. I tried anyway possible to copy the pictures from the site, but no such luck.
Then, I figure out I can just take a picture of the picture with my camera. Yes I, Kalena, has officially stolen from Disney. I never thought I would say that, but I did. Just take a look at this pictures and tell me you wouldn't have done the same thing.





Ok, so tell me which ones of you wouldn't have done what I did, seriously?!

DisneyWorld-Day Six!

Magic Kingdom

We found out we had an extra day at one of the theme parks so we decided to go back to the Magic Kingdom before heading home.

Peter Pan! I think we got an autograph and a picture from amost every character in the Magic Kingdom. Pretty impressive, I know.

Check out that flip-flop tan from 6 days outside. He definitely gets that from Mitchell because I don't tan.

DisneyWorld-Day Five!

Hollywood Studios

This was the park I was more excited for, most because of the characters there. We got to see Lightning McQueen and Handy Manny, Riker was thrilled!



We also went on the Tower of Terror, I had been on it when I was little with my dad. It wasn't as scary as I remembered but it was still scary!
